1. Take steam

According to AYUSH guidelines, steam inhalation with fresh Pudina (Mint) leaves or Ajwain (Caraway seeds) can be done once per day in the case of throat issues.

2. Clove powder and honey

According to government guidelines, Lavang (Clove) powder mixed with natural sugar or honey can be taken 2-3 times per day in case of cough or throat discomfort.

3. Salt water gargles

1 tbsp of turmeric and 1/2 tbsp of salt should be added to a glass of water and cooked for 5 minutes. Use it to gargle when the temperature is suitable. In order to relieve a painful throat, it is advised to gargle three to four times per day.

4. Yastimadhu (licorice)

Yashtimandu works wonders at treating throat infections. According to the physicians at Birla Ayurveda, you can take 1 tsp of liquorice powder and swallow it with honey twice a day or mix it with warm water and gargle with it twice a day.

5. Fenugreek

Fenugreek is one of the traditional Ayurvedic medicines for sore throat which contains natural substances that aid in throat cleansing. Drink the mixture after 5 minutes of boiling 1 teaspoon of fenugreek in 250 ml of water.

6. Tulsi leaves

Tulsi is one of the best antiviral herbs and works wonders for sore throats, colds, and coughs. Make a kadha by boiling 4-5 Tulsi leaves in a glass of water. And consume it. You can also add honey and ginger to the kadha for extra benefits.
