Ayurvedic Remedies For Hair Loss

Your body type and an imbalance in the mind-body connection are the main causes of hair thinning and hair loss. Any more than this can indicate that you’re losing hair more frequently than is healthy, which could lead to general hair loss. Thinner hair is not usually a sign of baldness, unlike extensive hair loss. It does, however, create the appearance that your head has balder spots. Hair loss may be caused by genetics, lifestyle decisions, or a mix of the two. A few medical conditions might also contribute to hair loss.

According to Ayurveda, both men and women might have hair loss or a receding hairline due to an imbalance in their Doshas. Excess Pitta has been linked to a higher risk of early greying, hair loss, and thinning of the hair. The Pitta Dosha Balancing, which highlights nutrition, lifestyle, and herbal treatments, is the main focus of Ayurveda. Focusing on a balanced diet, using medicinal herbs, practising yoga, meditation, aromatherapy, and deep breathing techniques are all recommended. Both men and women can successfully be treated for hair loss using these methods. We further suggest the following 5 Ayurvedic remedies for hair loss.

5 Ayurvedic remedies for hair loss

1. Honey

Natural humectants like honey can absorb excess oil from the face and lessen the likelihood of acne. It heals acne as well since it is antibacterial.

2. Amla

It is abundant in antioxidants and vitamin C. Amla may be ingested raw or used topically as hair oil. It aids in reversing hair loss, greying, and thinning. It strengthens and nourishes hair from the inside out.

3. Brahmi

Brahmi oil helps with hair thinning because it stimulates hair follicles and boosts blood flow to the scalp. Apply the oil, and then leave it on all night. The next day, shampoo your hair.

4. Curry leaves oil

It promotes hair development and is high in beta carotenes. Curry leaves are added to warm oil. Cool the oil, and then filter out the leaves. Before washing your hair, you may apply this oil straight to the hair.

5. Things to avoid

Avoid caffeine as it dehydrates the body and produces excessive Vata, which over time can cause hair loss. A Pitta (fire) Dosha imbalance leads to hair thinning and hair loss, therefore stay away from spicy, fried, greasy, fermented, and junk food.
