​Mixture of Ghee and Honey

Ghee and honey together in equal amounts can become poisonous and be harmful to your health. A toxin known as Clostridium Botulinum, which can cause cancer, stomachaches, and even lung problems, swiftly spreads throughout the body when ghee and honey are combined. Particularly in low-oxygen environments, a particular form of bacteria called Clostridium Botulinum is capable of producing harmful toxins.

​Ghee and Honey in Panchamrit

One must wonder why they are utilised for preparing Panchamrit if combining ghee and honey makes them poisonous. A mixture of five meals called Panchamrit is used to perform Abhishek during Puja and is then given out as Prasad. It is mostly made using milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar. Because ghee and honey are not combined in exactly equal amounts, Panchamrit does not become toxic. Additionally, Panchamrit is given as a Prasad and taken in extremely small amounts—typically, about 1 tsp—which does absolutely no harm to the body.

Since ancient times, honey has been renowned for its therapeutic benefits. Honey has several health benefits for humans, from treating sore throat and cough to naturally sweetening foods and beverages. Honey is well known for its antifungal and antibacterial characteristics, and different medical studies have also covered its health advantages. It can be substituted for white sugar in smoothies, oatmeal, and desserts as well as added to lemon water and drunk on an empty stomach to aid in weight reduction or to treat a sore throat.
