Here are five basic explanations of Panchakarma treatments

1. Vamana:

The patient receives internal and exterior oleation coupled with a few days of stimulation therapy. In this course of treatment, both natural remedies and Ayurvedic medications may be used. Poisons dissolve as a result, and they accumulate in the upper cavities. The patient is then given a decoction and an emetic medication to help the body vomit poisons out of the cells after this step. The ailments with kapha dominance that react well to this Vaman therapy are weight gain, asthma, and hyperacidity.

2. Virechana:

To purge or get rid of toxins, the bowels are cleaned here in Virechana. Similar to Vaman, this patient receives oleation and fomentation treatments both indoors and outdoors. The patient is then given a natural purgative, which promotes mental clarity and aids the body in eliminating pollutants. Pitta-dominant conditions like herpes zoster, jaundice, colitis, celiac disease, etc. are treated with this technique.

3. Vasti:

In chronic conditions, this treatment is extremely beneficial. Homemade remedies, oils, ghee, or milk are utilised to treat different conditions. The rectum is injected with homemade concoctions, oils, ghee, or milk, which has remarkable positive effects and is appropriate for the condition. This frequently has a substantial effect on conditions with a vata predominance, such as piles, arthritis, and constipation.

4. Nasya:

Nasya therapy can treat any illness that affects the head. First, the top and shoulder regions receive a little massage and fomentation. After that, nasal drops are administered into both nostrils. The entire head area is cleaned as a result, which helps to reduce headaches of all kinds, including sinusitis, chronic rhinitis, neurological illnesses, hair issues, and other respiratory conditions.

5. Raktamokshana:

The procedure aids in the purification of the blood and other disorders that are treatable and brought on by tainted blood. It is frequently performed either locally or throughout the body.
